Neil has lived in Sandymoor for 15 years and since election as a Councillor in 2024, quickly established a reputation as someone that works hard for residents of Daresbury, Moore and Sandymoor and is passionate about improving services for all Halton residents. 

In May 2025 Neil was elected as Vice Chair of the Council’s Audit & Governance Board to scrutinise Council finances and compliance. He also sits on the Housing & Safer Policy and Performance Board, where he is working on housing, homelessness, addictions, and community safety; and he is on the Local Economy Policy and Performance Board, supporting local businesses, expanding employment opportunities and looking at post 16 education, including apprenticeships.

Neil works in IT and is Secretary of the local branch of the Labour Party. Away from work and Council business, Neil recently became a grandfather for the first time, and enjoys gardening and walking his dog. Neil also loves getting out into the hills, when time allows, for more serious walking and climbing, in North Wales, Scotland and Spain.
