Cllr Carol Plumpton Walsh
Councillor for Bridgewater Ward
Carol was born and bred in old Runcorn and having lived in the town all her life had a passion for improving your community. She is married with a young son. Carol is a Mathematics teacher and teaches young people who struggle to attend school. Carol has a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics with the Open University.
She has a background in youth work and used to support many young people within the Bridgewater ward. Not surprisingly Carol is passionate about your community. Carol has been active in working to raise funds for Claire House Children’s Hospice and Liverpool Women’s Hospital Charity in memory of her twin boys.
Working with her two ward colleagues, Carol tackles residents’ issues with Riverside and other landlords. She plays an active role on the Council helping to draw investment into the ward for community projects and she remains a strong advocate for your community.
