Dave is our Deputy Leader and as a member of the Council’s Executive Board leads oversight on its Major Projects, including a key role into regeneration and delivering new investment into Widnes and Runcorn. He is particularly keen with seeing the renewal of our town centres and with more opportunities for business growth and employment opportunities in Halton. He was formerly a Chair of one of the Council’s Policy & Performance Boards and has earlier represented the Council on several other bodies. He has represented the Halton Lea ward for 24 years.
Dave has worked as a Local Government Officer for 40 years, having gained experience working in three Councils within the Liverpool City Region (LCR). He has lived in borough all his life and away from being busy with Council business and representing residents he finds time for travel, reading and writing. Passionate about the history of the area he has even written a number of books, including local history books on Widnes and Runcorn.
